Good sensitivity makes headshots possible. Practice makes them automatic. This 15-minute routine uses only the Training Ground, so you can do it every day before ranked.
Before you start
- Use your final sensitivity. Do not change sliders during the routine.
- Turn on High FPS if your phone supports it, and use the graphics level your phone can hold steadily.
- Sit the same way you play matches. Grip changes everything.

Minute 0–3: Warm-up flicks (Red Dot)
Pick an MP40 or UMP with a red dot. Stand at medium distance from the static targets. Aim at the chest, then drag up and stop on the head. Do 30 slow, clean drags. Speed comes later — the goal is to stop exactly on the head.
Check: if you overshoot most of the time, your Red Dot is too high (lower by 5). If you stop short, raise it by 5.
Minute 3–7: Moving-bot tracking
Move to the moving bots. Strafe left and right while shooting, keeping the crosshair at head height. SMGs reward staying on target more than one perfect shot.
Tip: keep your crosshair at head level while walking around, not only while shooting. Pros pre-aim at head height constantly.
Minute 7–10: One-tap shotgun drill
Switch to the M1887 or M1014. Run at a bot, stop, place the crosshair on the head, then tap. Then do the same with a small upward drag. Alternate 10 of each. You will quickly learn which style suits your sensitivity and grip.
Minute 10–13: Gloo wall peeks
Place a gloo wall, peek out, shoot two bursts at a bot’s head, and go back behind the wall. This trains the real fight pattern: peek, aim, hit, hide. Use Free Look between peeks to check around you.
Minute 13–15: Sniper flicks
Pick the AWM or M82B. Look away from the target, then open the scope and flick onto the head in one movement. Do 10 flicks. If your scope keeps sliding past the head, lower Sniper Scope by 5.
Track progress weekly
Once a week, count how many of 20 drags stop on the head. Write it down. Improvement is slow but steady: most players see a clear jump after 2–3 weeks of daily practice.
Common mistakes
- Changing sensitivity every day. It resets your muscle memory. Change at most once a week, by 5.
- Only practising on static targets. Real enemies move. Spend more time on moving bots.
- Ignoring the fire button. If your thumb slips off the button during drags, increase the size — try our Fire Button Size calculator.
